Edison Cricket Club
Edison Cricket Club is a nonprofit
organization (501 © (3) organization) and has been in existence
since 2004. Our mission is to promote the game of cricket within New
Jersey and beyond and to provide a competitive environment for
individuals to develop and improve their game. Edison Cricket Club
has been actively playing in the Cricket League of New Jersey, which
has 48 teams this year and has also entered a team in the Millennium
Cricket League which has 32 teams. Besides playing cricket we have
been very active with the community at large. In 2008 we held the
first T20 Community Cricket tournament, which had various community
cricket leaders take part by playing in the match. In keeping in our
mission of providing a healthy sport to the community we have
planned the first ever DIRECTV Summer Camp for youth under 15 and 19
to help further the sport of cricket in New Jersey and the US with

broadcasts of all IPL, ICC, Champions League and many other

Asian Pacific Heritage Month was
federally designated in 1978 to celebrate the heritage and culture
of the fast growing Asian Pacific American population within the
United States. Originally founded as a week-long event, it was later
expanded to a month long celebration, which honored important
anniversaries in American history, including the arrival of the
first Japanese immigrants to America on May 7, 1843, and the
completion of the transcontinental railroad, which many Chinese
laborers helped build, on May 10, 1869. Today, over 165 years after
the first large waves of brave Asian immigrants arrived in America,
the Asian Pacific American population has grown to almost 14 million
and has become an important part of the American mosaic. "In May, we
celebrate the contributions that Asian and Pacific American culture
